As Wall Street turns to the future after a post-election rally that sent the market to all-time highs, stock futures increased somewhat on Monday morning.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average-linked futures gained 55 points, indicating a 0.12% increase in value. Futures for the S&P 500 increased by 0.18%, and those for the Nasdaq 100 increased by 0.23%.
The three major averages closed at all-time closing highs during the session on Sunday, capping a significant week for U.S. equities.
For the first time in about a year, the Dow and S&P 500 both had their best weeks, with the former briefly surpassing the 44,000 mark.
With both the small-cap-focused Russell 2000 and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite rising, last week’s advance was regarded as wide.
