S&P 500 Futures Trim Losses as Yields Fall Amid Reports of Increased Bond Buyback Capacity by Bessent

S&P 500 futures trimmed some losses on Monday as Treasury yields declined following reports that the Treasury may utilize the General Account to fund a buyback operation.

Futures linked to the broad market index decreased by approximately 0.2%, while Nasdaq-100 futures dropped 0.5%.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures declined by 64 points, or 0.1%.

The 10-year Treasury note yield fell by 4 basis points to 4.7%.

Similarly, the 30-year Treasury bond yield, which recently surpassed 5.3% its highest level in nearly two decades dropped 4 basis points to 5.23%.
