After the index saw its worst weekly loss since April, tech shares rebounded on Monday, giving the S&P 500 its best day since June 5.
The Nasdaq Composite closed at 18,007.57, up 1.58%, while the benchmark increased 1.08% to conclude at 5,564.41, marking its best day since June 5. At 40,415.44, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished up 127.91 points, or 0.32%.
After retreating 8% the previous week, Nvidia surged 4.8%. Alphabet and Meta Platforms, two other significant tech companies, saw increases of over 2% as well.
The worst-performing stock in the S&P 500 was CrowdStrike, which fell 13.5% and added to its nearly 18% loss from the previous week.
