US stock futures were up Wednesday, as Wall Street attempted to regain its footing after a loss the previous day.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures increased 38 points, or 0.1%. S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 futures both rose 0.2%.
Penn Entertainment gained over 15% when the gaming firm announced plans to develop an online sportsbook with ESPN dubbed ESPN Bet this autumn.
Stocks fell on Tuesday. The Dow closed 158.64 points, or 0.45%, down. Still, that’s better than where the Dow was at session lows, when it fell around 465 points. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 sank 0.42% and the Nasdaq Composite fell 0.79%.
The losses occurred following Moody’s downgrading of many regional banks, which impacted investor sentiment. Some market participants were concerned that the signal could mean more difficulties for markets in the future, but others say the pullback is to be expected given the spectacular run in equities this year.
