U.S. equity futures increased on Tuesday following a session where the S&P 500 declined, as investors adopted a cautious stance ahead of upcoming earnings reports from Nvidia and an important inflation update expected later this week.
Futures linked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 199 points, or 0.4%.
The S&P 500 futures also gained 0.4%, while Nasdaq 100 futures added 0.8%.
The previous day saw the S&P 500 dip by 0.28%, and the Nasdaq Composite fall by 0.76%, pressured by declines in chip stocks and other technology shares.
Meanwhile, the Dow edged up by 140.15 points, or 0.26%.
