U.S. stock futures edged higher on Wednesday as investors awaited a key inflation report that could influence the upcoming direction of interest rates.
S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq 100 futures rose by 0.3% and 0.7%, respectively. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 83 points, or 0.2%.
Positive earnings reports and forecasts from CoreWeave and Super Micro Computer provided reassurance that demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure remains strong.
CoreWeave shares surged 18% in premarket trading after reporting a second-quarter adjusted operating income margin of 5%, surpassing expectations. Similarly, Super Micro Computer climbed 9% following an optimistic outlook for the upcoming quarter.
Other AI-related stocks also performed well. Dell Technologies and Micron Technology each increased over 2%, while Cisco Systems gained more than 1%. Additionally, U.S.-listed shares of Dutch cloud innovator Nebius rose over 8%.
