On Friday, stocks increased as investors took in fresh information suggesting that efforts to reduce inflation are still ongoing.
Wall Street was also expected to post strong weekly gains. While the Nasdaq Composite remained close to its flat line, the S&P 500 saw a 0.2% increase.
A more than 2% decrease in Nvidia restrained the advances made by the technology-heavy index.
With a rise of 322 points, or 0.7%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average exceeded expectations.
All three of the major indices have increased for the week; the Dow is expected to rise 0.5%, and the S&P 500 has increased by about 1%. It looks like the Nasdaq will increase by about 1.5% so far this week.
