Thursday’s early trading saw a decline in stock futures as the market is expected to recoup some of its gains from the holiday week.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures dropped 150 points. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 both fell 0.3%.
For Christmas Day, the market was closed on Wednesday. Following consecutive days of advances, the main averages may experience their first decline this week.
The Dow has increased by almost 1% this week, while the S&P 500 has risen 1.8%. The Nasdaq is up 2.3% for the week as a result of the robust rally in megacap technology.
