The USPS has Announced that it will Start Receiving Parcels from Hong Kong and China Again

The U.S. Postal Service announced on Wednesday that it will start receiving parcels and mail from China and Hong Kong again, barely hours after it had stopped doing so.

In an announcement on its website, the USPS stated that it was “cooperating closely with Customs and Border Protection to establish an effective collection mechanism for the new China tariffs to ensure the least disruption to package delivery.” It is an instant alteration.

The USPS declared late Tuesday that it will “until further notice” cease receiving packages from Hong Kong Post and China.

Following President Donald Trump’s imposition of a 10% tax on Chinese imports on Saturday as part of a broad set of new tariffs on the nation’s top three trade partners, the action was taken.

On Monday, Trump committed to delaying the implementation of 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico for 30 days.
