Tech gains helped lift stocks higher on Monday to start the last trading week of August.
199 points, or 0.5%, were added to the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Both the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite saw increases of 0.4%.
Favourite in the tech industry Tesla gained 1%, making up some of its losses from August. The stock has decreased 9% this month alone. Alphabet, Microsoft, and Meta also scored higher.
