With Apple leading the way and hitting an all-time high, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite reached new closing records on Tuesday.
The Nasdaq Composite finished at 17,343.55, up 0.88% from the closing close of the broad market index, which up 0.27% to 5,375.32. During the day, both indexes shot to new all-time highs as well.
However, the 30-stock Dow Jones Industrial Average finished at 38,747.42, down 120.62 points, or 0.31%.
Investors seemed to be turning away from the rising artificial intelligence player Nvidia on Tuesday and towards Apple, which recently presented new capabilities that may lead to a wave of iPhone upgrades.
During the session, the iPhone manufacturer broke a record, its first since December of last year.
