A Preview of How the United States’ Restrictions on Chip Exports may Affect ASML’s Sales in China was just Provided

On Tuesday, ASML provided the first indication of how its sales in China may be affected by U.S. barriers on exporting its sophisticated chip manufacturing equipment to the Asian nation.

A day early owing to a “technical error,” the Netherlands-based semiconductor equipment manufacturer stated in its results report on Tuesday that it anticipates net sales for 2025 to be between 30 billion and 35 billion euros ($32.7 billion and $38.1 billion).

This is at the bottom of the range that ASML had previously advised. ASML is an essential link in the worldwide supply chain for chips.

Many of the biggest chipmakers in the world, including Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing and Nvidia, build cutting-edge devices using the company’s extreme ultraviolet lithography equipment.
