Wall Street is Trying to Recoup After Tuesday’s Sell-Off, but Stocks Haven’t Moved Much

While the corporate earnings season continued, stocks remained flat on Wednesday as Wall Street attempted to regain its footing after a sell-off in the previous session.

Both the Nasdaq Composite and the S&P 500 saw slight increases. Just below the flatline was the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

Morgan Stanley’s stock increased 4% as the company’s third-quarter revenue and earnings exceeded Wall Street projections.

79% of the 50 S&P 500 stocks that have reported third-quarter earnings so far have exceeded forecasts.
