In an interview with the Times newspaper, the U.K.’s technology minister affirmed comments made recently by senior government officials criticising the technology tycoon, saying that Musk is “the one person who is accountable to no one” and that his influence on public debate should not be undervalued.
Elon Musk has the ability to impact significant global matters, including the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, according to Secretary of Science, Innovation, and Technology Peter Kyle.
Because of the size and scope of these businesses, Kyle continued, Britain’s contacts with corporations like X and other significant social media giants “are much more akin to the negotiations with fellow secretaries of state in other countries.”
