After a tumultuous start to the year, U.S. stock futures saw minimal movement Thursday evening.
Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 68 points, or 0.16%. Futures on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 saw gains of 0.24% and 0.36%, respectively.
A rocky trading session began January for stocks, with investors profiting from some prominent 2024 gainers like Apple and Tesla.
The Dow fell more than 150 points, or around 0.4%, at the close of the day. Both the Nasdaq Composite and the S&P 500 fell by roughly 0.2%.
Early in the day, all three benchmarks were up; at one point, the Dow had risen more than 300 points, but as the day went on, it dropped back.
