Tuesday saw a decline in stock futures as Wall Street attempted to regain its footing following the month’s erratic beginning.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average’s futures fell 83 points, or 0.2%. Nasdaq 100 futures and S&P 500 futures decreased by 0.2% and 0.3%, respectively.
Futures trading changed when the Dow dropped more than 115 points, or 0.3%, on June 1st. On Monday, the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 both saw slight increases.
Poor manufacturing statistics dampened investor mood as they wait for the Federal Reserve to wait for inflation to drop sufficiently before lowering interest rates. Investors are also watching to see if growth can continue.
