On Wednesday, Databricks, a firm that develops data analytics tools, announced that Meta has joined as an investor.
Meta makes a significant contribution to artificial intelligence as the firm that trains the well-known Llama open-source long language models, or LLMs, on which Databricks relies.
The CEO and co-founder of the startup, Ali Ghodsi, stated in an interview this week that Databricks collaborates closely with Meta’s Llama team.
Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO and co-founder of Meta, is the ultimate beneficiary of the arrangement.
We’ve talked about open-source software before, and he’s really interested in Llama and open-source models,” Ghodsi stated.
