USD value of bitcoin over time. In early February, the price hit a new high of over $51,000, but it quickly dropped back to about $48,000. The price has been on a roller coaster ride recently. When compared to the beginning of the year, when it was selling at about $34,000, Bitcoin has increased tremendously despite the recent decline.
