On Wednesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined as Wall Street began its holiday-shortened workweek and analysed the minutes of the most recent Federal Reserve meeting for clues about the direction of monetary policy.
To close at 34,288.64, the 30-stock average dropped 129.83 points, or 0.38%. S&P 500 decreased by 0.2% to 4,446.82. At 13,791.65, the Nasdaq Composite lost 0.18% of its value. Three-day winning streaks were broken by the Dow and S&P 500.
