Stocks declined on Thursday as investors’ concerns over the strength of the economy and the direction of interest rates rose in response to better-than-expected jobs data.
A 400-point (1%) decline in the Dow Jones Industrial Average was recorded. The Nasdaq fell 1.4%, while the S&P 500 fell 1.2%.
