Stocks declined on Thursday as investors’ concerns about the strength of the economy and the direction of interest rates rose in response to better-than-expected jobs statistics.
To close at 33,922.26 the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 366.38 points, or 1.07%. S&P 500 ended the day down 0.79% at 4,411.59. To 13,679.04, the Nasdaq Composite fell 0.82%. The Dow and S&P 500 had their worst daily performance on Thursday since May.
