As investors positioned themselves for the first of two inflation readings that are expected this week, stock futures increased on Tuesday.
Dow Jones-linked futures increased 152 points, or around 0.4%. Futures on the Nasdaq 100 increased 0.7%, while futures on the S&P 500 increased 0.5%.
The wholesale inflation indicator, the producer price index, is scheduled to be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. When compared to the core statistic, which does not include food and energy, the headline PPI is expected to grow by 0.4%.
