S&P 500 Declines As A Result Of Weak Retail Sales

The S&P 500 declined on Tuesday as traders analysed weak retail sales data and a busy day of earnings began.

The Nasdaq Composite retreated by 0.4% while the broader market index dropped by 0.1%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average performed better than expected, increasing 50 points, or 0.1%. The Dow was on track to post gains for a sixth straight day.
