After a steep drop in Big Tech companies the day before, when fresh concerns about the direction of interest rate cuts prompted a sell-off, U.S. equities remained below the flatline on Wednesday.
97 points, or 0.2%, were taken off the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
The Nasdaq Composite was trading below the flatline, and the S&P 500 was down 0.1%. For the second week in a row, the three major averages are declining.
Having risen more than 340% last year, Palantir was one of the S&P 500’s top gainers.
However, it lost more than 1.3% for the third day in a row. Following an HSBC downgrade, chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices saw a 4% decline.
