Nissan Plans 30 New Models and Cost Reductions for EVs in an Effort to Combat “Extreme Market Volatility.”

Nissan declared on Monday that it aims to reduce the cost of producing electric vehicles by thirty percent by 2030 and to sell an additional one million vehicles over the next three years.

Nissan also said that it would introduce 30 new vehicles by the 2026 fiscal year, 16 of which would be electrified, in a new medium-term business plan. By 2030, it hopes to achieve cost parity between combustion and electric vehicles.

“In response to the severe market volatility, Nissan is acting decisively, guided by the new plan, to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.”
