On Tuesday, Uber announced the launch of a new service that allows users to view average ride costs and wait times in over 10,000 cities.
With record amounts of passengers passing through American airports, the feature promises to make summer travel planning easier.
Uber claims that the average wait times and costs are determined by aggregating recent historical data on on-demand and reserved Uber journeys within that city.
Although users can see the pricing and wait times for a particular route on the date and time they choose, they are not able to change the settings to view these details at different times of the day at this moment.
The function is available to users who launch the application, pick “search in a different city,” and press “Where to?” riders can book reservations for future travels.
Although the most recent version will be visible to some users starting on Tuesday, Uber stated that all users would have access to the tool in the next few days.
